Thomas Shomaker is a video producer and journalist who has produced stories in 21 states and five countres.
His short documentary on Japan’s Obon Festival is currently part of a global Buddhism exhibit at the Übersee Museum in Bremen, Germany. His videos and written stories have appeared on CNN, WNET, Japan’s Nikkei Asia and Powderlife Magazine, HuffPost, NationSwell and Italy’s RepubblicaTV.
Commercial clients include A+E Networks Japan, United Entertainment Group, American Lung Association, Tokyo’s Aoyama Gakuin University, University of Massachusetts, WESAKE and The City University of New York.
Thomas is proficient in Japanese and lives with his family in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan.
